What? Workshop on Cultural Awareness and Competency

When? 2022 Dates Just Released: March 5, 2022; May 14, 2022; July 16, 2022 (no longer available)

Time? 9:00 am- 4:30 pm

Where? From the comfort of your home. Our workshop has remained virtual at this time.

Cost? $99 (can pay through PayPal on attached link, if any problems accessing, please contact us at tsconsulting2020@gmail.com; a receipt will be emailed to your email that is used for payment)

How many hours? 6 CORE contact hours of continuing education have been approved by the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA CE Approval #282MLW )

Goals/Objectives of this training:

1. Participants will learn how cultural awareness and responsiveness can improve effectiveness.

2. Participants will be able to explore and identify their own cultural biases and how that may impact their work with clients.

3. Participants will be able to distinguish between stereotypes/discrimination/prejudice.

4. Participants will be able to identify warning signs of those experience or being exposed to trauma based on discrimination.

5. Participants will be able to identify warning signs of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue and will create their own self-care tool kit.

We do not offer refunds for missed workshops (i.e. no shows) or cancellations within 24 hours.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Due to the interactive nature of this workshop, we have a minimum and maximum number of attendees per workshop. If this has not been met, we will notify you two weeks before to let you know if the workshop will be occurring on the date requested. If it is not, you will be able to choose one of the other upcoming dates or request a refund if you are unavailable on all remaining dates.
